🧵CharmRope was built by a small team of fiber artists and toolmakers who kept doing the same tedious math before every wall hanging — measuring, guessing, re-measuring, and still running short of cord halfway through a piece. We decided that math belonged in a pocket, not in a notebook full of eraser marks.

CharmRope: Macrame Studio was designed around one clear principle: your project data belongs to you and to your device alone. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what that means.
We collect nothing. CharmRope does not request your name, email address, location, photos library access beyond what you choose to capture in-app, contacts, or any other personal identifier. Every dimension you enter, every cord you log, and every photo you take stays inside the app on your device.
Because no information is ever collected or transmitted to us, we do not use, analyze, profile, or sell any of your project data, inventory records, or progress photos. There is simply nothing on our end to process.
All cord calculations, knot pattern notes, progress photos, cord stash entries, finished works records, and order and exhibition calendars are stored locally on your device only. CharmRope does not sync your studio vault to any cloud server, and we do not operate servers that store your content.
CharmRope does not integrate third-party analytics software, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. The app does not share data with outside companies because it does not transmit data anywhere in the first place.
Since your cord calculations, inventory, and photos never leave your device, there is no transmission for anyone to intercept and no remote database that could be breached. Your studio records are only as accessible as your own device's lock screen.
CharmRope does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. As no data collection occurs at all, the app is inherently compliant with children's privacy protections such as COPPA.
There are no accounts to create and no profiles to manage. Every measurement, pattern note, and gallery photo lives inside the app itself. If you uninstall CharmRope, all associated project data is removed from your device along with it.
Should our practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the Effective Date above. We encourage checking back occasionally, though our core commitment to on-device-only operation is not expected to change.
